Secretary Committee Meeting – 2026/10/07

The scheduled meeting of the North Central Provincial Council Secretary Committee was held on October 7, 2026, at the Chief Secretary’s Office in Anuradhapura. Headed by the Chief Secretary of the North Central Province, Mr. J.M.R.P. Jayasinghe, the meeting was attended by senior government officials, including secretaries of all ministries under the Provincial Council and Deputy Chief Secretaries.

During the meeting, the committee conducted a comprehensive review of the province’s overall performance, placing special focus on administrative efficiency, budget allocation utilization, and financial stability. Additionally, special attention was directed toward the physical and financial progress achieved so far in development projects across the province, evaluating whether these projects are being implemented as planned and in accordance with scheduled timelines. Aside from monitoring development progress, discussions were also held on the operational and practical challenges currently faced by the provincial administration. Measures and strategic proposals to overcome existing barriers, including resource limitations, were addressed as well.

Concluding the meeting, North Central Province Chief Secretary Mr. J.M.R.P. Jayasinghe emphasized priority areas for future improvement and stressed the importance of maintaining continuous cooperation and coordination among all institutions and departments to provide a more efficient and quality public service to the citizens.
