Preliminary Discussion Held on the North Central Province Industrial Development Plan Draft under the Auspices of the Chief Secretary – 2026.10.28

A special preliminary discussion regarding the draft of the Industrial Development Plan, aimed at steering the industrial sector of the North Central Province towards a new dimension, was held today under the auspices of the Chief Secretary of the North Central Province.

Officials from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) also participated in this occasion. This industrial development plan is scheduled to be implemented with the objectives of accelerating the province’s economic development, creating new employment opportunities, and attracting both local and foreign investments.

During the discussion, extensive deliberations were held regarding the key proposals contained in the initial draft, the industrial potentials available within the province (especially agriculture-based industries and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises – MSMEs), and the areas where the technical and financial contributions of Japanese institutions could be obtained.

An agreement was also reached during the meeting to continuously maintain future actions and coordination activities between the two parties to ensure the success of this project.
