Officials of the Office of the Chief Secretary of the North Central Province Visit the Batticaloa District Secretariat – 02.10.2026

A team of officials led by the Assistant Chief Secretary of the Office of the Chief Secretary of the North Central Province undertook an official visit to the Batticaloa District Secretariat. The visiting officers from our office were warmly welcomed by the staff officers led by the Additional District Government Agent of Batticaloa, Mrs. Sudharshani Srikanth.

During the visit, the Additional District Government Agent provided a detailed briefing on the factors that enabled the Batticaloa District Secretariat to secure third place at the national level in the 2025/26 National Productivity Competition, along with the productivity-related activities carried out there.

Furthermore, explanations were given to our officers regarding the resources of the Batticaloa district, important tourist attractions, and the various development activities taking place in the district.

Subsequently, the officials from the Office of the Chief Secretary of the North Central Province visited various branches of the District Secretariat, personally observed the productivity-driven initiatives being implemented there, and expressed their appreciation for them.

The event was attended by the Chief Accountant of the Batticaloa District Secretariat, Mrs. Gayathri Ramesh, District Secretariat Accountant T. Mathan, along with other staff officers and the productivity officer.
